Digital Still Life – Pear Study with Color Mesh Tool

This digital artwork is a reinterpretation of a traditional still life painting, created entirely in Adobe Illustrator using the Gradient Mesh Tool. Inspired by classical oil painting techniques, especially the richness of texture and soft transitions of light found in traditional still life works, the piece mimics the depth and realism of the original reference image while showcasing the capabilities of vector-based tools.

By carefully mapping out the shapes and shading of each pear, I used the color mesh tool to achieve smooth color transitions, realistic lighting, and three-dimensional form. The process required patience and precision, as each anchor point and color node contributed to the final rendering. The subtle interplay between green, orange, and red tones enhances the vibrancy and natural appearance of the fruit.
